Scripture Focus- Colossians 3:12-17
Healthy relationships are an important part of life and contribute to the quantity and quality of life and spiritual, physical, and emotional wellbeing. To the contrary, unhealthy relationships are detrimental and can cause multiple problems with spiritual, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
In Christ, we are chosen, holy, and dearly loved. We are to put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. These are the opposite of anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language.
Bear with one another. V13
Although we are different, we are to relate to one another in unity.
The test for forgiving one another is, if anyone has a grievance against another. Forgiveness is a present imperative. To forgive is to free the person from the debt they owe you. What is the measure? How God has forgiven you.
Matthew 18:21-35 Parable of the Unforgiving Servant- v27 Then the master of that servant had compassion, released him, and forgave him the loan. The surest test of having been forgiven, is forgiving others

Put on love. V14
Love is a fruit of the Spirit, and the greatest of all characteristics in the life of a Christian. Love is the outer garment which holds all virtues together.
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.
Love is a Commitment and is sacrificial, and unconditional. The decision to love is the perfect bond of unity.
Let peace rule in your hearts.
Peace is to join or bind together something previously separated.
Let peace rule. The image is of an umpire, mediating in a situation.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Whenever you are angry, frustrated, envious, or tempted- let love be the umpire in your life!
V16 Let Word of Christ dwell richly among you; in wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms hymns, spiritual songs- singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
V17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God through Him.
