Lead Pastor, Cross Lanes Baptist Church, West Virginia since 2003

Director of Send Network West Virginia, North American Mission Board

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, International Mission Board

A native of Frostproof, Florida I grew up on a citrus and cattle farm in the rural community of Bereah. Emilee is my wife. She is a high school teacher and Special Education Department Director. We are blessed with four children. Nathan is a junior in college. He also serves as a pastor on a church planting team. Sophia is a sophomore in college, and Grace is a senior in high school. Tatiana is our (unofficially) adopted adult daughter, who came into our lives by the grace of God when she was a young teenager. She lives in Moldova in Eastern Europe with her husband and they have a baby boy.

I came to know Jesus as a child, and later answered the call of ministry at First Baptist Church of Frostproof, Florida. I am grateful for and dependent on the grace and mercy of God. I believe strongly in the shepherding model of ministry (1 Peter 5:1-6). I am passionate about proclaiming the glory of God and sharing the good news about Jesus down the street and around the world. I’ve been blessed to serve on mission extensively both in the United States and internationally, and I have engaged in short-term missions in ten states and twenty nations. I believe the Bible is the Word of God and is sufficient for everything pertaining to life and godliness.
