I prepared a sermon on the dramatic conversion of Saul in Acts 9, and it caused me to reflect on my own conversion. I came to know Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord as a child. Not only is salvation completely dependent on God’s grace, all of life is dependent on God’s grace.
Every follower of Jesus should regularly reflect on what God has done for them, and express gratitude to Him for it. If you are a Christian, do you remember how and when you came to know Jesus? Do you share your story with others, and what God has done in your life?
1 Timothy 1 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
