Seth Nathan Polk

A native of Frostproof, Florida I grew up on a citrus and cattle farm in the rural community of Bereah. Emilee is my wife of twenty-eight years and she serves in our church and is a teacher vocationally. We are blessed with four children. Our son is a senior at the University of Alabama and he serves as the Executive Pastor with a multi-ethnic church plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. One of our daughters is a junior at West Virginia State University studying English for Secondary Education and our other daughter is a sophomore at West Virginia State University studying Elementary Education. We have an unofficially adopted adult daughter, who came into our lives by the grace of God as an adolescent. She lives in Eastern Europe, and is married and has a son, our only grandchild.

I came to know Jesus Christ as a child, and later answered the call to ministry at First Baptist Church of Frostproof, Florida. I am grateful for and dependent on the grace and mercy of God. I believe strongly in the shepherding model of ministry (1 Peter 5:1-6). I believe the Bible is the Word of God and is sufficient for everything pertaining to life and godliness. I am passionate about proclaiming the glory of God and sharing the good news about Jesus down the street and around the world. As a pastor with the heart of a missionary, I have been blessed to serve on mission extensively both in the United States and internationally, and have engaged in short-term missions in ten states and twenty nations. I have been a Trustee of the International Mission Board since 2013, and currently serve as the Chair of the IMB Trustees.
