John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The greatest need every person has is to know God. This verse tells us how we can.

The God of the Bible is our Creator, and He made us to have a relationship with Him.

God is holy, and our problem is that all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin separates us from God, and if He left us in that condition, we would be without help and without hope.

God loved the world He made, and He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, so that we can be saved and know Him. Jesus is the Son of God who left Heaven and came to earth to seek and save the lost. He lived a perfect life, fulfilled the Law of God, and died on the cross in the place of sinners. Jesus became sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. He was crucified, buried, and on the third day rose again.

When you turn from your sins and turn to Jesus by faith, believing in Him, you will not perish but have everlasting life. To perish is to be forever separated from God in Hell. To have eternal life is to know God now, and live with God forever in Heaven in the future.

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself. I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I believe that Jesus lived a perfect life, died for my sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and I turn to the Savior in faith. Thank you for saving me.
