Proverbs 15:14 The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.
Discernment is a must in the times we are living in. Never has more information been so readily available from every possible perspective. The human tendency is to find an angle, lock onto what fits our perspective, and run with it. I have seen a multitude of articles and videos that are “must-read” and “must-watch,” particularly related to the current pandemic. Whatever it is, I’ll see you one and raise you three from the opposing side. A lot of the information we encounter is not so much concerned with educating, as it is with winning us over to a particular way of thinking.
Keyboard warriors abound. Be cautious and resist the temptation to be one of them. Instead, focus on truth, and filter everything you see, hear, and read through Scripture. Work with the information you know to be true. Deal with the reality at hand.
Note the warning in Proverbs 15:14. . .
The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge.
The mouths of fools feed on folly.
Pray and ask God for wisdom. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Always remember that everything we post, say, and do as Christians, is part of our witness for Jesus, for good or for bad.
