When the pressure is on and you are getting squeezed, how you respond reveals who you are. If you are fearful you will likely respond with fear. If you are angry you will likely respond with anger. If you are critical you will likely respond with criticism. When the pressure is off it is easier to conceal negative traits and present a preferred image. When the pressure is on, if you have faith you will respond with faith. If you have joy you will respond with joy. If you are an encourager you will respond with encouragement.
It is important for each of us to know who we really are and seek to improve and grow from the inside out. All of us are in process, and ideally we will grow and develop throughout our lives. Challenging times are indeed problems to be faced, but they are also opportunities to overcome.
God is faithful and when we seek him he will bless us and show us the way. I love the Song of Moses in Exodus 15:1-2 “I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea! The Lord is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
